The Twin Islands of North and Middle Caicos have been awaiting their turn to be recognized for what they have to offer travelers. The same natural beauty exists on these islands as on Providenciales; however, the lack of development means more lush green, open spaces. Accommodations on Providenciales are at a world-class luxury level. This is the case whether you stay in a hotel or a villa, and it does not matter whether you are on the northwest end with Amanyara or in Grace Bay or Long Bay; you choose your level of luxury. North and Middle Caicos offer some limited accommodations, however, there are tour opportunities that are unavailable on Providenciales, such as the caves on Middle Caicos or Bambarra Beach. On North Caicos, Cottage Pond and Flamingo Pond, are both worth a visit.
Bambarra Beach won the number two (2) beach in the Caribbean, beating out our world-renowned Grace Bay Beach. This is an amazing honor for a truly beautiful gem. Middle Caicos has some nine beaches or beach sections from which to choose, and they will, as one can imagine, be relatively deserted. The Expected Uptick
At least five or six new development projects have been announced and are scheduled to be added to Providenciales between 2024 and 2026. Recent discussions on development in the islands indicate that North and Middle Caicos are also in the process of receiveing some yet to be announced, major projects, especially after the upgrade of their respective airports. There has long been an effort in tourism to promote the entire Turks and Caicos and the uniqueness of each destination within the destination therefore, any movement towards achieving this goal, is welcomed.
Air transportation:
Delta Airlines provides a similar route as Sun Country Airlines, of flights out of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN to Turks and Caicos. The start of this new flight is a testament to the hard work of Delta Vacations team, along with local stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to promote the destination.
Villas
Turks and Caicos has one of the most extensive, luxurious, and diverse villa markets in the Caribbean The Turks and Caicos Company Villas. Some of the best villas are attached to hotel brands, such as The Shore Club or Como Parrot Cay. Other Villa companies, including Beach Enclave, offer a wide array of villas in Blue Mountain or Long Bay, Providenciales as well as Grace Bay Resorts. The options are plentiful. Given the expected rise in private group travel and sports travel as two of the leading niche markets in 2024, according to Conde Naste Traveller, Conde Nast Traveler Travel Trends 2024 we should continue to see growth in the villa business.
Local Villas offer unobstructed services, including a private chef, housekeeping, babysitting, spa, and yoga services. It is recommended that these services are arranged in advance of travel.
